Lean Hand Assembly Systems
Robotas develops lean hand assembly systems that boost quality and throughput – the two fundamental ingredients of effective productivity. Both Mascot, with over 1,500 of them installed around the world, and Sigma are modular, versatile, dependable and exceptionally easy to use assembly lines. Both help to streamline assembly in high quality, high mix, and high or low volume operations. And both offer valuable traceability for applications in demanding sectors like aerospace, automotive, defense, marine and medical. There are no comparable systems in the market. Minimal training, virtually eliminating set up and changeover time, and ultimately rapid payback on the route to better profitability.
The origins of Robotas begin in 1985 with a firm focus on printed circuit boards in the electronics manufacturing industry. Despite the prevalence of surface mount circuit technology today, hand assembly remains a key process in the production of many PCBs and electronic subassemblies. Components including power semiconductors, switches, connectors, keypads, coils, transformers and displays are just some of the many challenging devices that are still typically assembled by hand.
